about

Born and raised in Nashville, Henry Ingram began N-Gram as a solo project in 2020 after returning from California, where he graduated from Stanford with a degree in Symbolic Systems.

N-Gram‘s intricate sounds fuse together jazz, progressive + alternative rock, electronica, and classical music. Blending diverse influences ranging from Beethoven to Radiohead to Joni Mitchell to Boards of Canada, N-Gram‘s unique compositions and lyrics reflect Henry’s classical piano training, as well as his interests in math, physics, and astronomy.

At the time, Henry was a founding member of the band Sloan Woolly, which has been described as “Bob Dylan on steroids.”

Currently, N-Gram performs live at local venues in Nashville, TN. He is working on a second album to follow his 2021 debut, Fine Arts & Fire Ants.

He also collaborates with musicians in Nashville including Jacob Milstein, Alex Barnes, and Jack Sloan. During the day, he is a teacher.
